R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Kenneth
  Ray Knowles of Wichita Falls, who passed away on February 6, 2009,
  at the age of 69; and
         WHEREAS, Born in the town of Fry on February 10, 1939, to
  William and Pearlie Knowles, Kenneth Knowles moved as a young man to
  Lubbock to attend college, and he graduated from Texas Tech
  University; he married Roberta Fern and had the pleasure of
  welcoming into his family three children, Angela, Kent, and Kristy,
  as well as seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild over the
  course of his lifetime; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Knowles founded Central Bail Bonds in 1978 and
  expanded it into one of the largest privately held bail bond
  businesses in Texas; he was instrumental in the formation of
  Professional Bail Agents of the United States, and he maintained
  memberships in such organizations as the Better Business Bureau,
  BCI, and Professional Bondsmen of Texas; moreover, he was active in
  various community organizations and was a congregant of Thornberry
  Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, While the death of Kenneth Knowles has brought great
  sorrow to those who knew him, memories of his kindness and
  generosity will be forever treasured by all who were privileged to
  share in the richness of his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Kenneth Ray Knowles
  and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to Vera
  Knowles; to his children, Angela Faye Burgher, Kent Aaron Knowles,
  and Kristy Renee Knowles-Acker; to his sister, Patsy Knowles Cox,
  and her husband, Ronnie; to his grandchildren, Talya Nicole
  Burgher, Chase Michael Burgher, Koby Joseph Knowles, Tori Ray Piner
  Burgher, Kennzie Dennise Knowles, Jack Kent Knowles, and Cole
  Kristopher Acker; to his great-grandson, Zephyr Keith Scoughton;
  and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kenneth
  Knowles.
