R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Lloyd Bolding has deservedly been named the 2008 |
|
Citizen of the Year by the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Oklahoma, Mr. Bolding has lived in |
|
Kilgore for nearly a half-century; this accomplished entrepreneur |
|
holds a degree in petroleum engineering and has founded and |
|
operated several businesses, including CECO Equipment, Dyna-Test, |
|
and Dyna-Coil, and for 10 years, he also served as an instructor at |
|
Kilgore College; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Bolding has long been a leader in East Texas, |
|
serving as president of the Kilgore Economic Development |
|
Corporation and the Meadowbrook Country Club; he cochaired the |
|
fund-raising committee for the Women's Center at Laird Memorial |
|
Hospital and sponsored the Small Fry Fishing Tournament for the |
|
American Cancer Society; and |
|
WHEREAS, This caring gentleman has further supported the |
|
Kilgore Crisis Center, the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Habitat for |
|
Humanity, and the Boys and Girls Clubs; he has served on the East |
|
Texas Regional Airport Economic Development Board and on the boards |
|
of East Texas Baptist University, the Kilgore Independent School |
|
District, the East Texas Treatment Center, and the Kilgore |
|
Historical Preservation Foundation; and |
|
WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure |
|
on the active engagement of its citizens, and Lloyd Bolding stands |
|
at the forefront of those individuals who are making a positive |
|
difference in their communities through their dedication and |
|
leadership; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lloyd Bolding on his selection as |
|
the 2008 Citizen of the Year by the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Bolding as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
