R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, James and Hazel Huffman of Quitman |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 31, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Huffman were united in matrimony in |
|
|
Dallas in 1959; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|
|
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of three |
|
|
daughters, Rosa Terry, Doloris Helm, and Marcelle Eckhout, as well |
|
|
as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Hazel Huffman on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Huffman as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
