R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Friendswood |
|
|
contribute immeasurably throughout their region as civic leaders |
|
|
and volunteers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, |
|
|
this exceptional program provides opportunities for participants |
|
|
to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and |
|
|
infrastructure; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and provide a |
|
|
diverse membership with information regarding local government, |
|
|
economic development, and social needs; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and |
|
|
involved citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership |
|
|
Friendswood is helping to create a brighter and more promising |
|
|
future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Leadership Friendswood for its |
|
|
promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its |
|
|
participants sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
achievement; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
