R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Veronica R. Kloss of Spring, a member of Girl Scouts |
|
|
of the USA Troop No. 11551, has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, |
|
|
and this achievement truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Gold Award is a significant honor, |
|
|
bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the scouting |
|
|
movement; in the course of meeting the award's demanding criteria, |
|
|
Ms. Kloss completed all of the requisite steps and successfully |
|
|
accomplished a Gold Award project of benefit to the DePelchin |
|
|
Children's Center, which included making more than 120 fleece |
|
|
blankets for donation and constructing a showcase for the |
|
|
children's art projects; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Michael and Janet Kloss, this fine |
|
|
young Texan has demonstrated outstanding initiative throughout her |
|
|
scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of her fellow |
|
|
Girl Scouts; Ms. Kloss also takes part in a number of activities at |
|
|
St. Pius X High School, including membership in the National Honor |
|
|
Society and Campus Ministry as well as serving as captain of the |
|
|
varsity soccer team; moreover, she belongs to St. Edward Catholic |
|
|
Church and the Texas Rush Soccer Club; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Veronica Kloss's dedication to excellence and her |
|
|
perseverance in the pursuit of her goals have proven her worthy to |
|
|
stand among scouting's elite, and she may indeed reflect with pride |
|
|
on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Veronica R. Kloss on receiving the |
|
|
Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Kloss as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
