R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Veronica R. Kloss of Spring, a member of Girl Scouts
  of the USA Troop No. 11551, has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award,
  and this achievement truly merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Receiving the Gold Award is a significant honor,
  bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the scouting
  movement; in the course of meeting the award's demanding criteria,
  Ms. Kloss completed all of the requisite steps and successfully
  accomplished a Gold Award project of benefit to the DePelchin
  Children's Center, which included making more than 120 fleece
  blankets for donation and constructing a showcase for the
  children's art projects; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Michael and Janet Kloss, this fine
  young Texan has demonstrated outstanding initiative throughout her
  scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of her fellow
  Girl Scouts; Ms. Kloss also takes part in a number of activities at
  St. Pius X High School, including membership in the National Honor
  Society and Campus Ministry as well as serving as captain of the
  varsity soccer team; moreover, she belongs to St. Edward Catholic
  Church and the Texas Rush Soccer Club; and
         WHEREAS, Veronica Kloss's dedication to excellence and her
  perseverance in the pursuit of her goals have proven her worthy to
  stand among scouting's elite, and she may indeed reflect with pride
  on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Veronica R. Kloss on receiving the
  Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Kloss as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
