R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas State Employees Golf Association is an |
|
|
admirable organization that promotes fun and camaraderie among |
|
|
active and retired employees of the State of Texas and their |
|
|
families; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 1976, SEGA organizes monthly tournaments |
|
|
for its more than 200 members, with the events taking place at |
|
|
various courses in the Austin area; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the SEGA board of directors work to |
|
|
ensure that the mission of the association is carried out in full; |
|
|
this esteemed group includes president Kenneth Yoder, vice |
|
|
president Philip Jones, secretary Lindey Osbourne, treasurer |
|
|
Teresa Phillips, and at-large members Larry Floyd, Larry Duncan, |
|
|
Jose Moreno, Dan Bertschi, Garry Jones, Mark Michon, and Larry |
|
|
Boriack; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Athletic competition enriches the lives of those who |
|
|
partake in it, and SEGA is doing an outstanding job of promoting the |
|
|
enjoyable and challenging sport of golf among State of Texas |
|
|
employees; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize the Texas State Employees Golf |
|
|
Association and extend to those involved with the organization |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
