R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Reverend Casey Miner of Richardson has been
  selected to receive the Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer
  Service Award, and this prestigious honor is being conferred on him
  by the Texas Board of Criminal Justice on April 3, 2009; and
         WHEREAS, The governor's awards were created in 1995 to
  recognize individuals and organizations that are working to
  rehabilitate offenders and bring comfort to their victims, and
  whose outstanding efforts exemplify the highest ideals of volunteer
  service; and
         WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Reverend Miner has
  demonstrated a profound commitment to helping offenders redirect
  their lives and become productive members of society, and many
  individuals seeking a new beginning are finding critical
  inspiration and support as a result of his tireless efforts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend Casey Miner on his
  receipt of a Governor's Criminal Justice Volunteer Service Award
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Reverend Miner as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
