R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends mourn the loss of Rafaela Telles
  of Clint, who died on April 15, 2008, at the age of 87; and
         WHEREAS, Born in El Paso on September 27, 1920, "Raquel"
  Telles shared a rewarding marriage with Andres Telles, Jr., until
  his passing; together, they raised three children, Andres, Ana
  Maria, and Susana; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Telles retired from a notable career with Our
  Lady of Mount Carmel School in El Paso, and she was a valued
  congregant of San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Clint; and
         WHEREAS, A kind and caring woman, Raquel Telles lived a life
  of devotion to her family and her faith, and though she is deeply
  missed, she will forever be remembered with great affection by all
  those whose lives she touched; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rafaela Telles and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  children, Andres Telles III and his wife, Dolores, Ana Maria
  Telles, and Susana Rodriguez and her husband, Rudy; to her
  grandchildren, Andres, Jessica, Dinee, Ruben, and Samantha; to her
  great-grandson, Ethan; and to her other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rafaela
  Telles.
