R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends mourn the loss of Rafaela Telles |
|
|
of Clint, who died on April 15, 2008, at the age of 87; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in El Paso on September 27, 1920, "Raquel" |
|
|
Telles shared a rewarding marriage with Andres Telles, Jr., until |
|
|
his passing; together, they raised three children, Andres, Ana |
|
|
Maria, and Susana; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Telles retired from a notable career with Our |
|
|
Lady of Mount Carmel School in El Paso, and she was a valued |
|
|
congregant of San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Clint; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A kind and caring woman, Raquel Telles lived a life |
|
|
of devotion to her family and her faith, and though she is deeply |
|
|
missed, she will forever be remembered with great affection by all |
|
|
those whose lives she touched; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rafaela Telles and |
|
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
children, Andres Telles III and his wife, Dolores, Ana Maria |
|
|
Telles, and Susana Rodriguez and her husband, Rudy; to her |
|
|
grandchildren, Andres, Jessica, Dinee, Ruben, and Samantha; to her |
|
|
great-grandson, Ethan; and to her other relatives and friends; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rafaela |
|
|
Telles. |
