R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Daniel J. Hollmann has been inducted into the Odessa
  Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame, and this occasion provides a
  fitting opportunity to honor this esteemed Texan; and
         WHEREAS, Born on August 22, 1951, Daniel Hollmann went on to
  graduate from Lamesa High School in 1969; he attended Texas Tech
  University, earning a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1973 and a
  law degree with honors from the institution three years later; Mr.
  Hollmann is currently a partner with the law firm of Atkins,
  Hollmann, Jones, Peacock, Lewis, and Lyon, Incorporated, and he is
  affiliated with the State Bar of Texas, the Ector County Bar
  Association, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and
  the Texas Bar Foundation; and
         WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life, Mr. Hollmann has
  volunteered his time to numerous local organizations; he is a
  commissioner on the Housing Authority of the City of Odessa, and he
  is on the board of the Odessa Elderly Housing Corporation and the
  Odessa Industrial Development Corporation; he also serves on the
  Permian Basin Advisory Council for the Texas Tech Health Sciences
  Center and the Legal Advisory Council for the Catholic Diocese of
  San Angelo, and he is a past president of Catholic Charities Odessa;
  in addition, Mr. Hollmann has been involved with the Odessa Chamber
  of Commerce as a member and chairman of various committees, as well
  as the board of directors, and he has received both the Heritage of
  Odessa Foundation Award and the Citizen of the Year designation;
  and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Hollmann has enjoyed
  the love and support of his wife of 33 years, Jeanette, and the
  couple's three children, Melanie, Elizabeth, and J. J.; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community and his profession,
  Daniel Hollmann has garnered the lasting respect and admiration of
  his fellow residents, and he may indeed reflect with great pride on
  his civic contributions; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Daniel J. Hollmann on his 2009
  induction into the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Hollmann as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
