R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Ellis and Pat Stewart of Big Sandy |
|
|
celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 17, 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart were united in matrimony in |
|
|
1953; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage, |
|
|
and today they delight in spending time with their son, Jim, their |
|
|
daughter, Liz, and their grandson, Wesley, all of whom accompanied |
|
|
them on a special anniversary trip to Hawaii; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past 55 years, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ellis and Pat Stewart on their 55th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stewart as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
