R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and Dudley and Zula Coleman of Ackerly |
|
|
celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on June 29, |
|
|
2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Childhood friends, Mr. Coleman and the former Zula |
|
|
Iris Shortes were joined in matrimony in 1947; through the years, |
|
|
they have been blessed with children and grandchildren, including |
|
|
Joanne and Mike Welling, Sharon and Michael Coleman, and Kim, Wes, |
|
|
and Colten Hughes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Valued residents of their community, the Colemans |
|
|
are retired cattle ranchers and lifelong members of the First |
|
|
United Methodist Church of Ackerly and Safari Club International; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Coleman have enjoyed six decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dudley and Zula Coleman on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Coleman as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
