R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Robert and Sallie Feavel of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 24, 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Feavel and the former Sallie A. Estlund were |
|
|
joined in matrimony on that special day in 1948 in New London, |
|
|
Wisconsin; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|
|
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of four |
|
|
sons, Randall, David, Scott, and Jay, as well as 12 grandchildren |
|
|
and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Residents of Midland since 1988, Mr. and Mrs. Feavel |
|
|
lived in Wisconsin and Colorado before moving to the Lone Star |
|
|
State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |
|
|
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
|
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Sallie Feavel on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Feavel as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
