R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Georgetown police officer Jason Chaudoin exhibited
  swift and decisive judgment in an emergency, and his actions
  contributed to the successful rescue of a local citizen in extreme
  peril; and
         WHEREAS, Officer Chaudoin joined fellow officer Erik Grasse
  in responding to a report of an accident in Sun City; arriving at
  the scene, they found a car submerged in a pond, with just its trunk
  visible above the surface of the water; both officers dove in, and
  Officer Chaudoin repeatedly plunged underwater in search of
  passengers while Officer Grasse pulled the driver to safety;
  Officer Chaudoin continued to search the water until the driver was
  able to explain that she had been alone in the vehicle; and
         WHEREAS, Thanks to the intervention of these two policemen,
  the driver suffered no serious injuries, and she was treated and
  released at the scene; and
         WHEREAS, This valiant Texan is a tremendous asset to the
  citizens of Georgetown, and he is truly deserving of special
  recognition for his exemplary actions; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Officer Jason Chaudoin of the Georgetown
  Police Department for his role in saving a woman from drowning and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Officer Chaudoin as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
