R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Matthew Thiede of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. |
|
|
280 in Highland Village has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and |
|
|
this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
|
criteria, Mr. Thiede earned the requisite 21 merit badges and, for |
|
|
his Eagle Scout project, created a butterfly garden for the science |
|
|
department of his school, Coram Deo Academy, in Flower Mound; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |
|
|
leadership ability throughout his scouting career, earning the |
|
|
respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the |
|
|
highest rank that scouting offers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Thiede's dedication to excellence and |
|
|
perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to |
|
|
stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride |
|
|
on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Matthew Thiede on achieving the |
|
|
rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Thiede as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
