H.R. No. 1090
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Leldon Hensley has been inducted into the Odessa
  Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame, and this occasion provides a
  fitting opportunity to honor this esteemed Texan; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Winters and raised in Walnut Springs, Leldon
  Hensley went on to earn a bachelor's degree in civil biology and a
  master's degree in education from Sul Ross State University; he
  worked as a biology teacher and football coach for six years at
  Borger High School and later at Permian High School, and he coached
  football at West Texas A&M University for two years; since 1973, Mr.
  Hensley has owned a general construction business in Odessa, the
  Samson Corporation; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. Hensley has been active in
  such local organizations as the Rotary Club, and he serves on the
  board of the Odessa Housing Authority; he is also a former president
  and current board member of the Odessa Industrial Development
  Corporation, the Midland-Odessa Transportation Alliance, and the
  Odessa Development Corporation, and he is a congregant at First
  Presbyterian Church of Odessa; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Hensley enjoys the love
  and support of his wife, Cherie; the couple's treasured family has
  grown to include two children, Shae and Dean, and a
  daughter-in-law, Klaire; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community and his profession,
  Leldon Hensley has garnered the lasting respect and admiration of
  his fellow residents, and he may indeed reflect with great pride on
  his civic contributions; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Leldon Hensley on his induction
  into the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Hensley as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
