| WHEREAS, Jack Pippen of Dallas has been accepted as an | ||
| honored scholar in the prestigious 2009 Junior National Young | ||
| Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Patricia and John Pippen, | ||
| Mr. Pippen is a sixth grade student at Lakehill Preparatory School, | ||
| where he was recently named an outstanding leader by his | ||
| classmates; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Junior National Young Leaders Conference is | ||
| designed to educate, inspire, and motivate high-achieving middle | ||
| school students from across the nation; attendees learn about | ||
| leadership by studying leaders of the past and by focusing on social | ||
| advocacy to make a positive impact in their communities; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Earning an invitation to this important conference | ||
| is a reflection of this fine young Texan's significant leadership | ||
| potential and academic achievement, and he may take justifiable | ||
| pride in being invited to take part in this exciting learning | ||
| opportunity; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Jack Pippen on being accepted as an | ||
| honored scholar in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference and | ||
| extend to him sincere best wishes for a bright future; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Pippen as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
