R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jack Pippen of Dallas has been accepted as an |
|
honored scholar in the prestigious 2009 Junior National Young |
|
Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C.; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Patricia and John Pippen, |
|
Mr. Pippen is a sixth grade student at Lakehill Preparatory School, |
|
where he was recently named an outstanding leader by his |
|
classmates; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Junior National Young Leaders Conference is |
|
designed to educate, inspire, and motivate high-achieving middle |
|
school students from across the nation; attendees learn about |
|
leadership by studying leaders of the past and by focusing on social |
|
advocacy to make a positive impact in their communities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning an invitation to this important conference |
|
is a reflection of this fine young Texan's significant leadership |
|
potential and academic achievement, and he may take justifiable |
|
pride in being invited to take part in this exciting learning |
|
opportunity; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jack Pippen on being accepted as an |
|
honored scholar in the Junior National Young Leaders Conference and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for a bright future; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Pippen as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
