R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Harold Moore has been inducted into the Odessa |
|
Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame, and this occasion provides a |
|
fitting opportunity to honor this esteemed Texan; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in the Walnut Bend community in Cooke County, |
|
Harold Moore relocated to Odessa in 1957; he went on to graduate |
|
from Odessa High School in 1962 and attended Odessa College; Mr. |
|
Moore was later employed at Electronic Service Center, where he |
|
became a service manager; in 1976, he launched Harold's |
|
Electronics, and he continues to operate that business today; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Moore has volunteered his time to a number of |
|
local organizations; he has served on the board of directors of the |
|
Permian Basin Rehabilitation Center, and he has been involved with |
|
the Harmony Home Children's Advocacy Center; he is also a member of |
|
First Baptist Church; in all of his endeavors, he enjoys the love |
|
and support of his wife, Diane Carter Moore, and his son, Brian |
|
Moore; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community and his profession, |
|
Harold Moore has garnered the lasting respect and admiration of his |
|
fellow residents, and he may indeed reflect with great pride on his |
|
civic contributions; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Harold Moore on his 2009 induction |
|
into the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame and extend to him |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Moore as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
