R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Dr. Noel Nicholas Troxclair will celebrate his 60th
  birthday in 2009, and this important milestone provides a fitting
  opportunity to take note of the accomplished life of this esteemed
  resident of Uvalde County; and
         WHEREAS, Born on September 11, 1949, to Noel Jovita Volk
  Troxclair and Noel Nicholas Troxclair, Sr., in White Castle,
  Louisiana, Noel Troxclair grew up with three sisters, Jovita,
  Karen, and Mignon; he graduated from White Castle High School,
  where he was an avid runner and football player; he valiantly
  answered his nation's call to duty as a member of the armed forces
  and served in the Vietnam War; his college studies began at
  Louisiana State University, where he earned bachelor's and master's
  degrees, and he furthered his education with a doctorate in
  entomology from Purdue University; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Troxclair worked as an entomologist with the
  University of Illinois Extension Service before relocating to
  Texas; in 1997, he began his employment as an extension
  entomologist and assistant professor of entomology at the Texas
  AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Uvalde, where he also
  participates in agricultural research efforts; and
         WHEREAS, This dedicated teacher and scientist shares his
  expertise with youth agricultural programs such as 4-H and FFA
  Entomology, and he is a member of professional organizations such
  as the Society of Southwestern Entomologists, the Entomological
  Society of America, and the International Organization for
  Biological Control; moreover, Dr. Troxclair has donated a great
  deal of his time in service to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes,
  the Christian Action Group, and the Boy Scouts of America; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Dr. Troxclair enjoys the
  love and support of his wife, Mary, his children, Caneel, Caleb, and
  Caitlin, and his grandchildren, Clair and Sadie; and
         WHEREAS, Noel Troxclair is a skilled educator, a valued
  researcher, and a respected member of his community, and he may
  reflect proudly on six decades of life well lived; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Dr. Noel Nicholas Troxclair on the
  occasion of his 60th birthday and extend to him sincere best wishes
  for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Troxclair as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
