| WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Julie | ||
| Reisinger Bassett of Round Rock, who died on January 29, 2009; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Born in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, she moved with | ||
| her family as a young child to Florida, where she grew up in Ft. | ||
| Lauderdale; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Bassett graduated from Florida Atlantic | ||
| University and began her career in the high-tech industry working | ||
| as an Internet consultant; she was also a contributor to The | ||
| Internet Marketing Blackbook, which was published in 1995; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In 1996, she moved to the Austin area, and the | ||
| following year she went to work for Dell Computer as a program | ||
| manager; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Bassett soon became a dynamic member of her | ||
| community; she was a longtime member of the Brushy Creek Women's | ||
| Association, and she served as secretary of the executive committee | ||
| of the Williamson County Republican Women's Club from 2003 to 2005; | ||
| admired for her dedication and service, she was elected Republican | ||
| precinct chair of Williamson County Precinct No. 331 in 2006; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This engaged community servant also played an | ||
| important role in the planning of Champion Park in Williamson | ||
| County, and in 2004, she was elected to the board of directors of | ||
| the Fern Bluff Municipal Utility District; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In her personal life, Julie Bassett also met with | ||
| great success; she enjoyed a rewarding marriage with her husband, | ||
| Ron, and she was blessed with a beloved daughter, Katie; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout her years on this earth, Julie Bassett | ||
| devoted herself to her family and her community, and although her | ||
| life ended far too soon, memories of her will live forever in the | ||
| hearts of all those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Julie Reisinger | ||
| Bassett and extend sincere condolences to the members of her | ||
| family: to her husband, Ron Bassett; to her daughter, Katie | ||
| Bassett; to her mother, Joni Reisinger; to her brother, Mike | ||
| Reisinger, and his wife, Jill; to her nieces and nephews, Rylee and | ||
| Dylan Reisinger and Jeff and Briana Martino; and to her other | ||
| relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Julie | ||
| Reisinger Bassett. | ||
