R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The family and friends of Monroe Wilson Boles of
  Winters were deeply saddened by his passing on August 25, 2008, at
  the age of 88; and
         WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mr. Boles was born
  in Comanche, on December 24, 1919; he married his beloved wife,
  Arlene, in 1939, and together they raised four sons, Roneal,
  Rickey, Randall, and Reg; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Boles proudly served his country during World
  War II as a member of a Naval Construction Battalion on Guam; he
  went on to work as a truck driver before spending a number of years
  in the oil fields; he finished his career as a tool and die maker for
  Dry Manufacturing Company in Winters; and
         WHEREAS, In retirement, Mr. Boles enjoyed stock farming and
  attending the First Baptist Church of Winters, where he served as a
  deacon; and
         WHEREAS, Although Monroe Boles is deeply missed, he will long
  be fondly remembered by all those who held him dear; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Monroe Wilson Boles
  and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Arlene Boles; to his sons, Roneal and his wife, Phyllis,
  Rickey and his wife, LaVerne, Randall and his wife, Jean, and Reg
  and his wife, Becky; to his 10 grandchildren and his 16
  great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Monroe
  Wilson Boles.
