R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Andy Mendoza of Helotes has been recognized for the |
|
third consecutive year at the St. Paul Catholic School Science |
|
Fair; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Steve and Alicia Mendoza, this |
|
conscientious young Texan was inspired by a local drought to |
|
investigate water conservation in his three winning projects; his |
|
entries in 2008 and 2009 have propelled him to citywide competition |
|
at the Archdiocesan Science Fair; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Mendoza's 2009 project focuses on rainwater |
|
harvesting and the cost-effectiveness of its use in landscape |
|
irrigation; and |
|
WHEREAS, In this age of environmental responsibility, this |
|
resourceful eighth-grader can take pride in his latest achievement |
|
and in his efforts to further the goal of effective conservation of |
|
our natural resources; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Andy Mendoza for his award-winning science |
|
fair project on water conservation and extend to him sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Mendoza as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
