R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The death of Beverly Evans of Houston on November |
|
15, 2007, at the age of 52, brought a profound loss to her family and |
|
friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Los Angeles on October 17, 1955, the former |
|
Beverly Richmond was the daughter of William and Betty Richmond; |
|
she graduated from Ouachita High School in Monroe, Louisiana, and |
|
married David Alan Evans on August 21, 1976; their fulfilling |
|
relationship was enriched with the arrival of a daughter, and they |
|
eventually welcomed a cherished grandson into the family; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Evans graduated from the Houston Baptist |
|
University College of Nursing in 1979; after several rewarding |
|
years in health care, she earned her license in interior design from |
|
the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners; she opened her own |
|
business, Beverly Evans Designs, in 1992, and was a member of the |
|
American Society of Interior Designers and the Texas Association |
|
for Interior Design; and |
|
WHEREAS, A valued congregant of Morning Star Christian |
|
Church, Ms. Evans shared her faith with others in meaningful ways; |
|
she enjoyed travel and getting to know students and people from all |
|
around the world and was a great admirer of art and architecture; in |
|
addition, she made time for sports activities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Beverly Evans enriched the lives of all who shared |
|
in her love and friendship, and she will forever hold a special |
|
place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Beverly Evans and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband |
|
of 31 years, David Alan Evans; to her daughter, Adriana Marcella |
|
Evans; to her grandson, Peyton Bryce Warren; to her sisters, Gay |
|
Farmer, Angela Meyers, and Taina Richmond; to her brothers, Ron and |
|
Mark Richmond; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be |
|
it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Beverly |
|
Evans. |
