R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The death of Beverly Evans of Houston on November
  15, 2007, at the age of 52, brought a profound loss to her family and
  friends; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Los Angeles on October 17, 1955, the former
  Beverly Richmond was the daughter of William and Betty Richmond;
  she graduated from Ouachita High School in Monroe, Louisiana, and
  married David Alan Evans on August 21, 1976; their fulfilling
  relationship was enriched with the arrival of a daughter, and they
  eventually welcomed a cherished grandson into the family; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Evans graduated from the Houston Baptist
  University College of Nursing in 1979; after several rewarding
  years in health care, she earned her license in interior design from
  the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners; she opened her own
  business, Beverly Evans Designs, in 1992, and was a member of the
  American Society of Interior Designers and the Texas Association
  for Interior Design; and
         WHEREAS, A valued congregant of Morning Star Christian
  Church, Ms. Evans shared her faith with others in meaningful ways;
  she enjoyed travel and getting to know students and people from all
  around the world and was a great admirer of art and architecture; in
  addition, she made time for sports activities; and
         WHEREAS, Beverly Evans enriched the lives of all who shared
  in her love and friendship, and she will forever hold a special
  place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Beverly Evans and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband
  of 31 years, David Alan Evans; to her daughter, Adriana Marcella
  Evans; to her grandson, Peyton Bryce Warren; to her sisters, Gay
  Farmer, Angela Meyers, and Taina Richmond; to her brothers, Ron and
  Mark Richmond; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Beverly
  Evans.
