R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends cherish their memories of Dwain |
|
|
"Duby" English of Abilene, who died on December 27, 2007, at the age |
|
|
of 46; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Duby English was born in Merkel on May 26, 1960, and |
|
|
graduated from Merkel High School in 1978; he was an electric |
|
|
lineman for Taylor Electric Cooperative for 29 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Actively engaged in the life of his community, he |
|
|
was a Little League coach and a member of First Baptist Church of |
|
|
Merkel; he was also a member of the Texas Trophy Hunters |
|
|
Association, through which he won many awards, and he worked as a |
|
|
hunting guide for the Double Horseshoe Ranch; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although Mr. English was taken much too soon, those |
|
|
fortunate to know and love him will remember the joy he brought to |
|
|
their lives, and he will always hold a treasured place in their |
|
|
hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Dwain "Duby" English |
|
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
|
wife, Sally English; to his son, Cody English, and his wife, |
|
|
Kristie; to his daughter, Trina Riley, and her husband, Michael; to |
|
|
his mother, Bonnie Owens, and her husband, Floyd; to his |
|
|
grandmother, Hazel Pack; to his sister, Taresia Griffith, and her |
|
|
husband, Randy; to his grandchildren, Jessika Riley, Justin Riley, |
|
|
Tanner Riley, Trace Riley, Ashley English, and Tyler English; to |
|
|
his niece, Shanda Griffith; and to his other relatives and friends; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dwain |
|
|
"Duby" English. |
