R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of San Jacinto Republican Women play an |
|
|
active and vital role in their Gulf Coast community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable group is an affiliate of the Texas |
|
|
Federation of Republican Women, which boasts more than 10,000 |
|
|
members and 165 clubs throughout the state; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, San Jacinto Republican Women works diligently to |
|
|
advance the issues of its party; the efforts of its members have |
|
|
helped to ensure the election of their candidates to numerous |
|
|
offices, and their accomplishments have increased the political |
|
|
awareness and effectiveness of hundreds of women by persuading them |
|
|
that their participation in the political process is vital; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The organization's board includes president Tammie |
|
|
Nielsen and past president Pat Jones, as well as Debi Stinnett, |
|
|
Gayle West, Joanne Cade, Givvie Searcy, Cyndi Harrison, Kathy |
|
|
Haigler, Jackie Welch, and Debra Risinger; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the San Jacinto Republican Women are |
|
|
making a lasting difference through their grassroots political |
|
|
activism, and they may take justifiable pride in their rich history |
|
|
of civic engagement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor the San Jacinto Republican Women for the |
|
|
group's many accomplishments and extend to the members sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
