R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, After serving his country in Iraq, U.S. Marine
  Corporal Daniel J. Garcia of Ben Bolt returned to the Lone Star
  State on February 18, 2009; and
         WHEREAS, Daniel Garcia graduated from Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco
  High School in 2005, and he enlisted in the United States Marine
  Corps in December of that year; he served his first tour of duty in
  Iraq as an intelligence analyst with Regional Combat Team 1, and his
  steadfast courage earned him a Meritorious Mast; and
         WHEREAS, Corporal Garcia has been welcomed home eagerly and
  with great pride by his wife, Sonia Garcia, his daughter, Jade
  Elizabeth Garcia, his mother, Isabel Garcia, his brothers, Kevin
  and Homer Garcia, his grandmother, Blaza Lopez, and his
  parents-in-law, Robert and Irma Rangel, as well as numerous other
  friends and relatives; and
         WHEREAS, Through his unfaltering devotion to duty, honor, and
  this nation, Corporal Garcia embodies the highest ideals of the
  U.S. armed forces, and he is a tremendous source of pride to all who
  know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Corporal Daniel J. Garcia for his
  bravery and dedication and extend to him sincere appreciation for
  his outstanding military service; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Corporal Garcia as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
