R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends continue to mourn the loss of |
|
Clara F. Santikos of Houston, who died on November 11, 2008, at the |
|
age of 93; and |
|
WHEREAS, Clara Santikos was born in Patmos, Greece, on July |
|
13, 1915; she immigrated to the United States, where she became a |
|
citizen in 1952; and |
|
WHEREAS, Devoted to her family and friends, Mrs. Santikos was |
|
an expert cook and seamstress; she was also skilled at games such as |
|
double nines and King's Corners, and she loved the music of Frank |
|
Sinatra; and |
|
WHEREAS, Clara Santikos lived a full and generous life, and |
|
memories of her will forever endure in the hearts of all those whose |
|
lives she touched; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Clara F. Santikos and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
sisters, Elizabeth Marodis and Billie Callager; to her daughter, |
|
Kiki Santikos; to her sons, John Santikos, George Santikos, Nick |
|
Santikos, and Pete Santikos; to her daughters-in-law, Lucille and |
|
Brenda; to her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; |
|
and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Clara F. |
|
Santikos. |
