H.R. No. 1362
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Andrew Joseph Hoffart of Boy Scouts of America Troop
  No. 604 in Houston attained the rank of Eagle Scout in April 2007,
  and his accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
         WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
  honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
  scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
  criteria, Mr. Hoffart earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
  completed an Eagle Scout project of lasting benefit to his
  community; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Tony and Cynthia Hoffart, this fine young
  Texan demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout his
  scouting career, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow
  scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that scouting offers;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hoffart is an active congregant of St. Rose of
  Lima Catholic Church and a 2007 graduate of Waltrip High School,
  where he was a member of the National Honor Society, the drama
  production group, and the varsity soccer team; and
         WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Hoffart's dedication to excellence and
  perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to
  stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride
  on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Andrew Joseph Hoffart on achieving
  the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Hoffart as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
