R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Ryan Austin Kattchee of Boy Scouts of America Troop |
|
No. 40 of Houston has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
criteria, Mr. Kattchee earned 28 merit badges and, for his Eagle |
|
Scout project, rebuilt the dugouts at Seton Catholic Junior High |
|
School; and |
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |
|
leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |
|
respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the |
|
highest rank that scouting offers; a member of the Order of the |
|
Arrow, he has also earned the Arrow of Light and World Conservation |
|
Awards; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Kattchee is the son of Phillip and Dianna |
|
Kattchee; he graduated from St. Thomas High School, where he was a |
|
member of the National Honor Society and an Academic All-American, |
|
as well as a member of the baseball and swim teams; he is currently |
|
studying engineering at The University of Texas; and |
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Kattchee's dedication to excellence and |
|
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ryan Austin Kattchee on achieving |
|
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Kattchee as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
