H.R. No. 1365
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Residents of the Houston area lost a beloved friend
  and devoted public servant with the death of Ronald Eugene Parker on
  October 24, 2008; and
         WHEREAS, A native of the Bayou City, where he was born on
  April 11, 1952, "Butch" Parker was the son of Joseph and Maybell
  Parker; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Parker and his wife, Susan, shared a rewarding
  marriage that was further enriched with the addition of a daughter,
  Laura Beth, and a son, Eric Joseph; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of nearly two decades, Mr. Parker
  demonstrated notable dedication and concern for his fellow Texans
  in his work as a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff's Office; he
  was also employed as a regional representative for the Bullard
  Company of Michigan; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Parker attained the level of a 32nd degree Mason
  in the Scottish Rite organization and held memberships with the
  Melrose Lodge No. 1294, the Billy W. Tinsley Daylight Lodge No.
  1458, and the Arabia Shrine Center; and
         WHEREAS, Butch Parker lived a life of service in behalf of his
  family and the citizens of Harris County, and he will be greatly
  missed by those individuals who were fortunate enough to share in
  his love and friendship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ronald Eugene Parker
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Susan Parker; to his children, Laura Beth Parker and Eric
  Joseph Parker; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ronald
  Parker.
