R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Paul and Gay Ingram of Big Sandy |
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 30, 2008; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ingram were joined in matrimony on that |
|
special day in 1958, at a ceremony held at Zion Lutheran Church in |
|
Dallas; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured |
|
family that includes two sons, David and his wife, Karla, and Robert |
|
and his wife, Cassandra, and three granddaughters, Amanda, Ashley, |
|
and Carlie; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ingram is retired from Cherokee Steel |
|
Fabricators, where he served as chief draftsman for 25 years, while |
|
Mrs. Ingram has been a dedicated homemaker and civic volunteer over |
|
the course of the couple's marriage; and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world during the past |
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Paul and Gay Ingram on the occasion |
|
of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ingram as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
