R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
love and shared experiences, and Paul McDonald, Jr., and Connie |
|
McDonald of Bedford celebrated this joyous milestone in their |
|
marriage on March 20, 2009; and |
|
WHEREAS, First Lieutenant Kermit Paul McDonald, Jr., and the |
|
former Connie Lynn Short exchanged vows on that special day in 1959; |
|
they count among their blessings a treasured family that includes |
|
three children and their spouses, Jeff McDonald, Pat and Karen |
|
McDonald, and Kari and Doug Brunswick, as well as grandchildren |
|
Kali, Samantha, Krista, Laurel, Will, Ben, and Max; and |
|
WHEREAS, After retiring from the U.S. Air Force in 1977, Mr. |
|
McDonald was employed with Braniff International Airways and |
|
American Airlines before retiring in 1997; Mrs. McDonald has been a |
|
dedicated homemaker throughout their marriage; and |
|
WHEREAS, This devoted couple have shared five decades of |
|
abiding love and mutual affection, and they are among an |
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Paul McDonald, Jr., and Connie |
|
McDonald on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McDonald as an expression of high regard |
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
