R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Keaton Gibson Richter of Boy Scouts of America Troop |
|
No. 104 in Galveston has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
criteria, Mr. Richter earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|
successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |
|
community, which consisted of organizing and producing the |
|
inaugural Lights of Love festival at the Ronald McDonald House in |
|
Galveston; and |
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |
|
leadership ability throughout his scouting career, serving in such |
|
positions as senior patrol leader and junior assistant scoutmaster, |
|
winning the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked |
|
toward the highest rank that scouting offers; he is also a member of |
|
the Order of the Arrow; and |
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Richter's dedication to excellence and |
|
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Keaton Gibson Richter on achieving |
|
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Richter as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
