R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Juan and Beatriz Herrera of Levelland |
|
|
celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2009; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Herrera were united in matrimony in |
|
|
Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on that special day in 1969; through |
|
|
the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been |
|
|
made even richer with the addition of two sons, Juan and Gabriel, |
|
|
three daughters, Yolanda, Esmeralda, and Veronica, and seven |
|
|
grandchildren, Crystal, Alli, J. R., Samantha, Emily, Megan, and |
|
|
Noah; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Residents of Levelland for 27 years, Mr. Herrera |
|
|
works for Sherry Clements farm and Mrs. Herrera is a homemaker; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
four decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges with grace and optimism; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Juan and Beatriz Herrera on the |
|
|
occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Herrera as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
