R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Chief Rick McCoy of the Crane Police Department is |
|
|
retiring on May 31, 2009, after an outstanding career in law |
|
|
enforcement that has spanned more than three decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the Crane Police Department 25 years |
|
|
ago, Chief McCoy has provided exceptional leadership and set an |
|
|
outstanding example of professional integrity; throughout his |
|
|
distinguished tenure, he has exemplified the highest ideals of the |
|
|
law enforcement profession and contributed immeasurably to the |
|
|
safety and well-being of his fellow Texans; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chief McCoy and his wife, Pattie, have been valued |
|
|
residents of the city of Crane; they are leaving the Lone Star State |
|
|
for Arkansas, and their presence and many contributions will be |
|
|
deeply missed by their friends and neighbors; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The dedicated service of Rick McCoy has greatly |
|
|
benefited his community, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his |
|
|
notable accomplishments as he prepares to embark on the next |
|
|
chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Chief Rick McCoy for his years of |
|
|
service to the Crane Police Department and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Chief McCoy as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
