R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The counseling team at Sun Ridge Middle School in El |
|
|
Paso has earned the CREST award from the Texas School Counselor |
|
|
Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, CREST, which stands for Counselors Reinforcing |
|
|
Excellence for Students in Texas, is an awards program designed to |
|
|
recognize outstanding school counseling programs throughout the |
|
|
Lone Star State; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Truly deserving recipients of this accolade, the Sun |
|
|
Ridge Middle School team includes Zulema Dickerson and Michelle |
|
|
Kramer; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These dedicated individuals have worked to foster |
|
|
the social and emotional growth of students to help them succeed |
|
|
academically and personally; by focusing on the total child, they |
|
|
have helped students develop interpersonal relationship, |
|
|
problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills that will be |
|
|
important throughout each individual's life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Children are our most valuable resource, and those |
|
|
who labor in behalf of the youth of Texas are making a firm |
|
|
investment in the future of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the counseling team of Sun Ridge |
|
|
Middle School on earning the CREST award and extend to them sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success with their important work; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
