R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The life of Michael Brent Jones was cut tragically |
|
short on December 21, 2003, at the age of 37, but memories of him |
|
will forever endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A cherished brother and uncle, Brent Jones treasured |
|
his family and kept them close after the loss of his parents; he |
|
shared an especially close bond with his wife, Julie, and was |
|
thrilled to be a new father, embracing the delights and |
|
responsibilities of parenting twins; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones had a zest for life that won him the |
|
affection of many people; he had a talent for making people laugh, |
|
and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, heading to Galveston for a |
|
weekend of fishing, and cheering loudly for his favorite football |
|
team, The University of Texas Longhorns; and |
|
WHEREAS, Though his journey on this earth was far too brief, |
|
the richness he bestowed on his loved ones continues to resonate in |
|
their lives today; in his character, in his generosity of spirit, |
|
and in his gift to the world of two greatly adored children, Brent |
|
Jones brought immeasurable joy to all who were privileged to be a |
|
part of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Michael Brent Jones |
|
and extend deepest sympathy to his wife, Julie, to his children, and |
|
to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Michael |
|
Brent Jones. |
