R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Edward and Billie Brem of Lorena |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 11, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Edward Brem and the former Billie Dean Watson were |
|
|
united in matrimony in Tours, Texas, on that special day in 1957; |
|
|
through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that |
|
|
has been made even richer with the addition of 4 children, Edward, |
|
|
Debora, James, and Gary, and 13 grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Brem is in the church renovation business; Mrs. |
|
|
Brem works part-time at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the |
|
|
Assumption in Waco, where the couple are members; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges with grace and optimism; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Edward and Billie Brem on reaching |
|
|
the joyous milestone of their 50th anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Brem as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
