R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Marty and Marilyn Ginnane of Waco |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 18, 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Martin Ginnane and the former Marilyn Moroney were |
|
|
united in matrimony at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Chicago on |
|
|
that special day in 1958; through the years, they have nurtured a |
|
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of six children, Mary Rita, Kathleen, Peggy, Jean, Joseph, |
|
|
and Jim, and 13 grandchildren, Katelyn, Justin, Adam, Zachary, |
|
|
Shelby, Megan, Michael, Mary Katherine, Matthew, Kristen, Sarah, |
|
|
Jacob, and Jeremy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Ginnane moved his family to Waco in 1974, when he |
|
|
was transferred by M&M/Mars; the couple have enjoyed 34 years of |
|
|
membership at St. Louis Catholic Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges with grace and optimism; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Marty and Marilyn Ginnane on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ginnane as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
