R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Jeff Lewellen was honored by the Robinson |
|
|
Police Department in May 2008 for his notable efforts in behalf of |
|
|
his community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The department hosts an annual awards program to pay |
|
|
tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated an exemplary |
|
|
commitment to the city of Robinson; the honorees-everyday citizens |
|
|
as well as public officers and employees-have reached above and |
|
|
beyond in serving their fellow residents and the greater community, |
|
|
and by acknowledging their selfless actions, the Robinson PD is |
|
|
promoting volunteerism among all of its citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to his work with the Robinson PD, |
|
|
Lieutenant Lewellen has distinguished himself through his |
|
|
significant role in assisting and caring for a man who was having a |
|
|
heart attack, and he fittingly received a Life-Saving Award for his |
|
|
swift response to that critical situation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, Jeff Lewellen has remained |
|
|
dedicated to ensuring the public's safety and well-being, and it is |
|
|
indeed a pleasure to recognize his outstanding contributions; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Lieutenant Jeff Lewellen on his |
|
|
receipt of a Life-Saving Award from the Robinson Police Department |
|
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Lieutenant Lewellen as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
