R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Barry Gann was honored by the Robinson Police |
|
|
Department in May 2008 for his notable efforts in behalf of his |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The department hosts an annual awards program to pay |
|
|
tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated an exemplary |
|
|
commitment to the city of Robinson; the honorees-everyday citizens |
|
|
as well as public officers and employees-have reached above and |
|
|
beyond in serving their fellow residents and the greater community, |
|
|
and by acknowledging their selfless actions, the Robinson PD is |
|
|
promoting volunteerism among all of its citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Gann played a significant role in the search for |
|
|
an elderly woman who had become confused and wandered away from |
|
|
home, and he fittingly received a Distinguished Service Award for |
|
|
his concern and assistance during that critical situation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With the utmost dedication and compassion, Barry |
|
|
Gann has contributed to the safety and well-being of another |
|
|
citizen, and it is indeed a pleasure to recognize him for a job well |
|
|
done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Barry Gann on his receipt of a |
|
|
Distinguished Service Award from the Robinson Police Department and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Gann as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
