R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ford Sasser of Rio Bank in McAllen has been named the |
|
|
2009 District Financial Services Champion of the Year by the Lower |
|
|
Rio Grande Valley District Office of the U.S. Small Business |
|
|
Administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This prestigious award is presented every year to |
|
|
the financial services professional in the Lower Rio Grande Valley |
|
|
who has made the greatest contribution to the success of small |
|
|
businesses in the 14-county region; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 1985 as Rio National Bank, Rio Bank |
|
|
received its state charter in 2002; under the leadership of Mr. |
|
|
Sasser, its president and CEO, this independent and locally owned |
|
|
bank serves small and mid-sized businesses in the region from six |
|
|
locations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his hard work, innovative approach, and |
|
|
dedication to community reinvestment, Mr. Sasser has played a vital |
|
|
role in the economy of South Texas, and he is indeed worthy of this |
|
|
impressive accolade; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ford Sasser on being named the 2009 |
|
|
Financial Services Champion of the Year by the U.S. Small Business |
|
|
Administration's Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office and extend |
|
|
to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Sasser as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
