R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Corporal Brent Ewing was honored by the Robinson |
|
|
Police Department in May 2008 for his notable efforts in behalf of |
|
|
his community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The department hosts an annual awards program to pay |
|
|
tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated an exemplary |
|
|
commitment to the city of Robinson; the honorees-everyday citizens |
|
|
as well as public officers and employees-have reached above and |
|
|
beyond in serving their fellow residents and the greater community, |
|
|
and by acknowledging their selfless actions, the Robinson PD is |
|
|
promoting volunteerism among all of its citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During the past year, Corporal Ewing played a |
|
|
significant role in coordinating the Citizen's Police Academy, the |
|
|
Shattered Dreams project at Robinson High School, and the |
|
|
Neighborhood Crime Watch program, and he fittingly received a |
|
|
Distinguished Service Award for his assistance with these vital |
|
|
initiatives; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With the utmost dedication and concern, Corporal |
|
|
Ewing has contributed to the public's safety and well-being, and it |
|
|
is indeed a pleasure to recognize his many worthy endeavors; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Corporal Brent Ewing on his receipt |
|
|
of a Distinguished Service Award from the Robinson Police |
|
|
Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Corporal Ewing as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
