R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Patrick Carey was honored by the Robinson Police |
|
|
Department in May 2008 for his notable efforts in behalf of his |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The department hosts an annual awards program to pay |
|
|
tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated an exemplary |
|
|
commitment to the city of Robinson; the honorees-everyday citizens |
|
|
as well as public officers and employees-have reached above and |
|
|
beyond in serving their fellow residents and the greater community, |
|
|
and by acknowledging their selfless actions, the Robinson PD is |
|
|
promoting volunteerism among all of its citizens; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A patrol officer within the Robinson PD, Mr. Carey |
|
|
has further distinguished himself through his significant role in |
|
|
assisting and caring for a man who was having a heart attack, and he |
|
|
fittingly received a Life-Saving Award for his swift response to |
|
|
that critical situation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, Officer Carey has remained |
|
|
dedicated to ensuring the public's safety and well-being, and it is |
|
|
indeed a pleasure to recognize his outstanding contributions; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Patrick Carey on his receipt of a |
|
|
Life-Saving Award from the Robinson Police Department and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Officer Carey as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
