R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|
|
and shared experiences, and J. T. and Reba Taylor of Waco celebrated |
|
|
this joyous milestone in their marriage on October 30, 2007; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were joined in matrimony in 1937 |
|
|
at a ceremony held in Grimes County, Texas; through the years, they |
|
|
have been blessed with a treasured family that includes two |
|
|
children, the late James T. Taylor, Jr., and Peggy Sue Gleghorn and |
|
|
her husband, Stan, as well as four grandsons and one |
|
|
great-grandson; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Taylor is retired from Riverside Press and Mrs. |
|
|
Taylor is retired from Sears; they lived in Dallas and Lake Whitney |
|
|
before moving to Ridgecrest Retirement Center in 2000; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor have enjoyed seven decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate J. T. and Reba Taylor on their 70th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Taylor as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
