R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Timothy
  William Murphy of Rockport, who died on April 12, 2009, at the age
  of 45; and
         WHEREAS, Tim Murphy was born in San Antonio on July 7, 1963,
  to Walter J. and Mary Jane Murphy; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Murphy was active with the Texas Association of
  Pawnbrokers, serving on the organization's board of directors and
  as chair of the legislative committee; for his work with the Texas
  Legislature on behalf of his profession, he was twice awarded the
  Legislative Bulldog Award; and
         WHEREAS, Known as Big Tim, Mr. Murphy was an avid outdoorsman
  who hosted Big Tim's Annual Dove Hunt in Eagle Pass; he often
  volunteered to accompany wounded soldiers on fishing trips during
  Warriors Weekend; and
         WHEREAS, Warm, generous, and big-hearted, Tim Murphy was
  devoted to his family and friends, and though his life ended far too
  soon, the memory of his enthusiasm and joyful spirit will live
  forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Timothy William
  Murphy and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family:
  to his wife of 23 years, Maureen Elaine Murphy; to his children,
  Timothy William Murphy, Jr., Jonathan Daniel Murphy, and Samantha
  Anne Murphy; to his mother, Mary Jane Murphy; to his father, Walter
  J. Murphy, and his wife, Dece; to his siblings, Walter Murphy, Jr.,
  and his wife, Stacey, Patricia Murphy and her partner, Mary, Suzy
  Keepers and her husband, Rick, Phil Murphy, and Dan Murphy; to his
  in-laws, Edward and Yvonne Buckley, and their children; and to his
  many other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Tim Murphy.
