R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, K. W. and Joyce Shipp of Emory celebrated their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on April 4, 2009, and they may indeed reflect |
|
|
with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Shipp exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
on that special day in Rockwall in 1959, and over the course of |
|
|
their marriage, they have found in one another a loving life |
|
|
partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Shipp count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes three daughters, Kim, Alisha, and |
|
|
Katrina, as well as eight grandchildren, with whom they share the |
|
|
many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, K. W. and Joyce Shipp have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate K. W. and Joyce Shipp on the |
|
|
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Shipp as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
