R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Nancy Elaine Hagemann Frazier of Waco passed away on |
|
June 23, 2007, at the age of 70, drawing to a close a full and |
|
purposeful life in which she devoted herself to her family, her |
|
career, and her community; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on June 19, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was |
|
raised in the Texas town of Kingsville; after marrying Jack |
|
Frazier, she settled with her husband in Waco in 1964; the couple |
|
shared a rewarding relationship that extended until Mr. Frazier's |
|
passing in 2002; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Frazier worked for 35 years with GMAC and |
|
retired in the late 1990s as accounting manager; she played an |
|
active role in area politics through her membership in McLennan |
|
County Republican Women and the McLennan County Republican Club, |
|
which she also served as a board member; moreover, she worked as |
|
precinct chair and election judge for Precinct 40 for many years and |
|
was the permanent organization chair for the county Republican |
|
Party; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of diverse interests, Mrs. Frazier was an |
|
avid traveler, often visiting destinations in the company of her |
|
aunt, Betty Beazley, and she was an accomplished seamstress; she |
|
took great enjoyment in spending time with her family, especially |
|
her great-grandchildren, Lola and Ty, and she was a member of the |
|
congregation at First United Methodist Church of Waco; and |
|
WHEREAS, Known for her selflessness and her willingness to |
|
help others, Nancy Frazier made a meaningful difference in the |
|
lives of many people, and her generosity and her dedication to the |
|
ideals she held dear will continue to inspire her loved ones for |
|
years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Nancy Elaine |
|
Hagemann Frazier and extend deepest condolences to the members of |
|
her family: to her grandson, Kevin Wolff, and his wife, Shelly; to |
|
her great-grandchildren, Lola and Ty Wolff; to her aunts, Elizabeth |
|
Clark Beazley and Ruth Wheeler; to her uncle, Harold Hagemann; to |
|
her brothers-in-law, James Frazier and his wife, Elleen, and Thomas |
|
Frazier and his wife, Elizabeth; to her sisters-in-law, Mary Surfus |
|
and her husband, Carl, and Pamela Saulters and her husband, Danny; |
|
to her goddaughter, Courtney Lehrmann Schnell; and to her other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nancy |
|
Frazier. |
