R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Debra Bishop was named the Hazel Harvey Peace |
|
|
Educator of the Year in 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The principal of A. J. Moore Academy, Dr. Bishop |
|
|
helps to prepare students to excel academically, intellectually, |
|
|
and socially in postsecondary education and in engineering, |
|
|
business, entrepreneurship, or technology careers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable Texan has demonstrated a tremendous |
|
|
dedication to the welfare of her students and all the youth of her |
|
|
community, and she is indeed deserving of our respect and |
|
|
gratitude; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Debra Bishop on being named the |
|
|
2008 Hazel Harvey Peace Educator of the Year and extend to her best |
|
|
wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Dr. Bishop as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
