R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Robert and Doris Bray of Woodway |
|
|
celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 19, 2007; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bray were united in matrimony at the |
|
|
South Bosque Church on that special day in 1952; through the years, |
|
|
they have nurtured a loving family that has grown to include two |
|
|
children, Robert and Nancy, as well as three grandchildren, April, |
|
|
Robert, and Colleen, three great-grandchildren, Samantha, the late |
|
|
Gabriel, and Mia, four step-grandchildren, and four |
|
|
step-great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Bray worked at General Tire and Mrs. Bray is |
|
|
retired after nearly three decades with Midway School; the couple |
|
|
are founding members of Woodway First United Methodist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |
|
|
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
|
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Robert and Doris Bray on the joyous |
|
|
milestone of their 55th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bray as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
