R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Ricardo |
|
Estrada of El Paso, who died on March 9, 2009, at the age of 62; and |
|
WHEREAS, Dicky Estrada was born on December 4, 1946, to Frank |
|
and Alicia Estrada; he met his lifetime companion, Roberta, in high |
|
school, and they were married three years after graduation; over |
|
the course of their 40 years together, they were blessed with two |
|
sons; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Estrada went to work at the age of 16, bagging |
|
groceries at the S&S Store in Fabens and working as a delivery man |
|
for Munier's Pharmacy; he later enjoyed a 40-year career with the |
|
Clint Independent School District; along the way, he also answered |
|
his nation's call to duty during the Vietnam War, serving in the |
|
U.S. Air Force; and |
|
WHEREAS, A kind and caring man, Dicky Estrada touched the |
|
lives of many, and he will be forever remembered with admiration and |
|
affection by all who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ricardo Estrada and |
|
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife, Roberta Estrada; to his sons, Dominick E. Estrada and his |
|
wife, Saharon, and Patrick I. Estrada; to his siblings, Josephina, |
|
Mary, and Lucy Estrada, Frank Estrada III, Alicia Smith and her |
|
husband, Bob, and Rebecca Quinn and her husband, Bill; and to his |
|
other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dicky |
|
Estrada. |
